Charlie Garcia was born on November 11, 1965, and raised in Alice and Corpus Christi, Texas. From a young age, he learned the value of hard work and perseverance through academics and competitive sports.

Charlie graduated from Alice High School in Alice, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University–Kingsville. He later discovered his calling in the law and, with the encouragement and support of his family, pursued his Juris Doctor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. During law school, he served as a Senior Associate Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and graduated cum laude in May 2009.

Charlie has spent his entire legal career with Erskine & Blackburn. Guided by a deep commitment to service grounded in his faith, Charlie is dedicated to helping his clients with the same care and commitment he would extend to his own family. Charlie is married to his wife, DeNae. Together they have four sons—Jon, Bryan, Joseph, and Cameron—and are proud grandparents to Sage and Josiah. Charlie and DeNae are members of Austin Christian Fellowship Church and the Vandegrift High School Baseball Booster Club.

Outside of his professional life, Charlie enjoys golfing, intracoastal fishing, football, music, Bible study, and spending quality time with his family—often around the grill for a good Texas barbecue.
