I was born on February 12, 1980, in Henderson, North Carolina. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. During college, I worked at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a member of the consumer segment. I mediated consumer complaints submitted by our viewers against local and national businesses. The experience of helping viewers resolve marketplace disputes jumpstarted my desire to become an attorney. After leaving WRAL-TV, I pursued my law degree at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida. I was a member of the Florida Coastal Moot Court Honor Board and won a best brief award at the 2007 National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition in Chicago. In 2009, I graduated with honors in the top 5 percent of my class and relocated to Austin to begin my legal career.
I became a member of the State Bar of Texas in 2009 and joined Erskine & Blackburn, LLP in 2010.
I enjoy UNC athletics, Longhorn football, the culinary arts, scuba diving, golf, fine art, philanthropy, prayer & fellowship, and spending time with my girlfriend, family, and friends.
